Fitness Center
The IAIA fitness center program is committed to meeting all the health and wellness needs of our students. The fitness center program offers a variety of classes, such as weightlifting, cardiovascular fitness, and basic fitness.
The student activities director is committed to partnering with the fitness staff to make every effort to stay on top of current and past fitness trends. To offer the most up-to-date fitness programming and maintain qualified fitness instructors, workshops, training plans, assessments, and challenges.
This program offers a training session followed by a challenge to match the student’s semester fitness goal, then they will be left on their own to complete the challenge by acquiring signatures on a fitness log to be turned in to the Activities department for an incentive.

Individual Development
The programing starts with a initial movement screening and a intro to Fitness session that is designed to introduce the students to a comprehensive overview of health and fitness training and the proper use of all the fitness equipment in the IAIA fitness center. The introductory session engages students in interactive training concepts of full body workouts, training cycles and leadership development in fitness. Students are introduced to fitness apps, such as 'Trainerize.com for continued training efforts outside of class hours. As part of the leadership development in fitness, a certified personal trainer will mentor students to achieve their short-term fitness goals and if there is an interest, to prepare for the National Trainer Certification Exam.
